WELDING
All welds are full seam welds (unless the design states otherwise) and all burrs, sharp edges and laser cut areas are carefully machined to give a perfect finish. Each fence panel and gate is fully welded for unsurpassed strength and security.
All members of our team have experience of 10+ years. This increases production rates and improves product quality.
We have also implemented a Welding Quality Management System to ISO3834-2 .
This standard allows our company to apply the CE marking which greatly affects all producers that process metal work elements for structural use up to execution class 2, with the aim of guaranteeing, in the full spirit of the CPD-CPR (Construction Products Directive – Construction Products Regulation), quality in terms of technical requirements of the metal products put on the national and the European market. This legal responsibility covers our full range of fabricated items including all our carports and fences.
Amoy-Ironart (Xiamen) Co., Ltd. holds the following certification:
• EN1090-1:2009+A1:2001
• EN1090-2:2008+A1:2011 EXC2
• ISO3834-2
HOT-DIP GALVANIZING
Hot-Dip Galvanizing is a process of coating iron or steel with a thin zinc layer, by passing the metal through a molten bath of zinc at a temperature of around 860 °F (460 °C). When exposed to the air, the pure zinc (Zn) reacts with oxygen (O2) to form zinc oxide (ZnO) and reacts with carbon dioxide (CO2) to form zinc carbonate (ZnCO3). This manipulation prevents corrosion and protects the material. Galvanized steel is widely used in applications where rust resistance is needed, and can be identified by the crystallization patterning on the surface.
3-Step Surface Preparation
Zinc will not react with an unclean steel surface. Therefore, a requisite and appropriate surface preparation is crucial in the application of any coating. It ensures the longevity of our materials for fences and carports. Here's how we lay the groundwork:
Degreasing
Hot alkaline solution removes dirt, oil, grease, shop oil, and soluble markings.
Pickling
Dilute solutions of either hydrochloric or sulfuric acid removes surface rust and mill scale to provide a chemically clean metallic surface.
Fluxing
Steel is immersed in a zinc ammonium chloride solution to remove oxides and to prevent oxidation before plunging into molten zinc.
Dry galvanizing process: Item is separately dipped in a liquid flux bath, removed, allowed to dry, and then galvanized. Wet galvanizing process: The flux floats atop the molten zinc and the item passes through the flux immediately prior to galvanizing.
Galvanizing
During the actual galvanizing procedure, the material is completely submerged in a bath of molten pure zinc (98% pure zinc in accordance with ASTM B6) (815-850 F/ 435-455 C) Zinc reacts with the iron in the steel to form a series of metallurgical bonded zinc-iron alloy layers, commonly topped by a layer of impact-resistant pure zinc.
As the steel is withdrawn slowly from the galvanizing bath, excess zinc is removed by draining, vibrating, and/or centrifuging. The metallurgical reaction will continue after withdrawal from the bath, as long as it remains near bath temperature. Galvanized items are cooled either by quenching in a passivization solution or water or by being left in open air.
Our steel products from wrought iron fences to carports and street-furniture benefit from maintenance-free corrosion protection through galvanizing. It's 100% recyclable.
Inspection
We then check every single hot-dip galvanized material for its coating thickness and surface condition.

- Zinc is recyclable
- Melting point at 787.1 °F (419.5 °C), boiling point at 1,664.6 °F (907 °C)
POWDER COATING
Powder coating is a dry finishing process applied with an electrostatic spray gun that has become very popular since its introduction over 40 years ago and is used on a wide array of products. More and more companies specify powder coatings for a high-quality, durable finish, allowing maximized production, improved efficiencies, and simplified environmental compliance.
Used as protective and decorative finishes for Carports and Fences, powder coatings are available in an almost limitless range of colors and textures.
How Powder Coating Works
Powder coatings are based on polymer resin systems, combined with curatives, pigments, leveling agents, flow modifiers, and other additives. These ingredients are melt mixed, cooled, and ground into a uniform powder similar to baking flour. A process called electrostatic spray deposition (ESD) is typically used to achieve the application of the powder coating to a metal substrate. This application method uses a spray gun, which applies an electrostatic charge to the powder particles, which are then attracted to the grounded part. After application of the powder coating, the parts enter a curing oven where, with the addition of heat, the coating chemically reacts to produce long molecular chains, resulting in high cross-link density.
These molecular chains are very resistant to breakdown. This type of application is the most common method of applying powders. Powder coatings can also be applied to non-metallic substrates such as plastics and medium density fiberboard (MDF). Sometimes a powder coating is applied during a fluidized bed application. Preheated parts are dipped in a hopper of fluidizing powder and the coating melts, and flows out on the part. Post cure may be needed depending on the mass and temperature of the part and the type of powder used. No matter which application process is utilized, powder coatings are easy to use, environmentally friendly, cost effective, and tough!
Durability For Your Fence
Powder coating is a high-quality finish found on thousands of products you come in contact with each day. Powder coating protects the roughest, toughest machinery as well as the household items you depend on daily.
It provides a more durable and beautiful finish than liquid paints. Powder coated products are not only more resistant to diminished coating quality as a result of impact, moisture, chemicals, ultraviolet light, and other extreme weather conditions, but reduces the risk of scratches, chipping, abrasions, corrosion, fading, and other wear issues.
Advantages of Powder Coating
Powder coatings emit zero or near zero volatile organic compounds (VOC). They produce much thicker coatings which are abrasion resistant. Same applied thickness by other conventional liquid coatings would run or sag. The powder coating production lines produce less hazardous waste. Special effects can be applied easier than other coating processes.
